A recently completed hoarding project for Mango shows the impact a street advertising hoarding can have.
These stunning graphics were printed on a mix of vinyl for the windows and 3mm aluminium composite panels for the doors, both finished with an anti-graffiti seal. Our skilled install team even scribed the panels onsite to fit perfectly between the ornate cornice of the building columns. And of course it goes without saying the panels were fitted with colour matched screw heads.
London Display Graphics can now offer this clear film, that is composed of a textured polyester with a hard top coat, as an over-laminate to all our printed products.
The antimicrobial additives are incorporated during the manufacturing process to ensure even distribution throughout the top coating. These antimicrobial agents disrupt the microbial cell wall of bacteria and fungus, inhibiting growth up to fifteen years. The film’s chemistry also provides scratch and chemical resistance which allows daily cleaning without loss of effectiveness.
Thanks to its reliable and consistent protection from contaminants including MRSA, streptococcus, E. coli, salmonella and more, this antimicrobial is ideal for use in environments where hygiene is of particular importance, such as hospitals, schools, nurseries, restaurants and cafeterias.
It also provides extra peace of mind for anyone conscious of hygiene on surfaces such as counters, control panels, door plates, switches and equipment, and on signage and POP graphics and displays. Its textured yet clear finish ensures colours are not diminished while providing good resistance to abrasions.
A display material called Vertex Marine, available now, is a 100% polyester fabric made out of recycled single-use plastic bottles in order to conserve natural resources. The substrate is available in 3.2m rolls and can be applied to a variety of display systems.
At London Display Graphics are extremely excited to be able to offer such a forward-thinking product to our clients, and it’s a delight that we can offer materials that protect our oceans’ eco-systems.
To put this in perspective, one roll of 3.2x100m Vertex Marine material uses just under 4,000 plastic bottles, which otherwise could have made their way into the ocean.
The recycling process involves retrieving plastic bottles in compacted bales, which are broken up and labels removed before the PET is crushed into flakes. These flakes are washed and turned into pellets, then melted, extruded and spun into a polyester yarn that is woven to create the Vertex Marine material.
Throughout this process, the material loses none of the qualities of a virgin polyester yarn which means it is designed to give an equal quality of print finish from dye-sublimation, UV-C or Latex printers.

Making standees or freestanding cardboard cut-outs as they are known is a cost effective way to market new products with great impact.
We made these by printing direct to media on our Arizona flatbed printer then cut to shape on our Zund contour cutter.
A stunning new INSTRATA Lifestyle apartment complex in Hounslow commissioned us to print and install their marketing suite windows.
Printed optically clear vinyl was used to produce about 30 meters of high resolution, full colour images mixed with solid black and gold designs to create a vibrant and eye-catching advertisement for the apartments.
The brief from our client, a community focused water company, was for a large cube that could be transported and set up at events in public spaces to convey messaging about water usage.
We fulfilled this by making timber and ply frames in eight sections that could be easily bolted together to make the cube structure. The graphic panels were printed direct to 3mm Di-Bond on our Arizona UV flatbed printer and given a final layer of protection with anti-graffiti laminate. Finally, with the usual attention to detail we have come to expect from our guys, the screw heads were coloured to match the graphic background.
This may look like a simple box but it takes experience and knowhow to build a structure that is robust enough to be left outdoors in the public domain.
